How to Do It.
Spine flex: Grab the ankles with both hands and deeply inhale. Flex the spine forward and lift the chest up (a). On the exhale, flex the spine backwards (b). Keep the head level so it does not flip-flop. Repeat 108 slines, then relax.
Aging does not start with years; it begins
with nutritional deficiency, intestinal problems, and an inflexible spine
that disrups the flow of spinal fluid. In fact, in India age is measured by
the flexibility of the spine.
A study done at the University of California, Davis, in 1973 showed that this spinal flex exercise besides limbering up the spine, created a multi-stage reaction pattern that greatly altered the proportions and strengths of alpha, theta, and delta waves in the brain. You may notice that you feel calmer and more centered after doing it.
